The Alberta California Venture Channel (ACVC) was formed in 2001 as a not-for-profit organization to facilitate the growth of Alberta’s private equity markets. ACVC was formed to introduce California and Alberta investors and entrepreneurs to cross-border opportunities and benefits.

ACVC is a two-way trade pipeline, not just a raiding exercise on the part of Alberta. ACVC is interested in expanding market opportunities in both regions and establishing mentors that can create a stronger international business climate. The organization is a trade organization assisting investors and entrepreneurs to expand their rolodexes and broadening their existing opportunities.

ACVC is funded by both the public (60%) and private (40%) sectors. It has a board of five members, a paid consultant, and 24 organizations that provide monetary support and in-kind contributions.

Mandate
